![]() ![]() Standard locks of Grade 3 are excellent for all other light applications. Interior entrances must be highly secure, such as equipment storage rooms. They are frequently employed outside doors with light to moderate traffic. Grade 2Ī step down from grade 1 locks in terms of security and durability is a commercial grade 2 lock. In places with high-security requirements, such as schools, hospitals, and other enterprises, Grade 1 locks like office smart locks are frequently used on both interior and exterior doors. In comparison to grade 2 or grade 3 locks, these heavy-duty commercial door locks can withstand twice as much use while maximizing security. The toughest, most resilient, and most secure locks on the market are Grade 1 locks. The 3 grades of commercial locks are as follows: Grade 1 The Builders Home Manufacturers Association assigns grades (BHMA), The American National Standards Institute (ANSI) has granted the BHMA accreditation to police these lock grades. Lock grades assist architects, builders, locksmiths, owners, and operators in selecting the optimum hardware for their distinctive structures. Industry standards known as commercial grades ensure the calibre and specification of commercial door locks. I hope i made sense with all of this nonsense lol.Any mechanical or electronic lock that is rated for commercial usage and suitable for commercial environments, such as offices, enterprises, industrial facilities, hotel, and other commercial real estate, is referred to as a commercial door lock. So, anyone know of a device that i can use to make this possible? Preferably something flat and at least an inch wide? Both halves of the he device will be screwed into the bottom case and the stand in case you're wondering how i plan to get them on. Just for the record, i am aware i am modifying the part of the laptop and i am okay with it.It wont interfere with anything inside, i checked.so ik what im doing lol. ![]() Where its circled is where i plan to put the device, or half of the device, preferably the female part while the male part goes on the laptop bottom case. And also to give you a better understanding of where i plan to put the devices. I have a pic i uploaded of the exact models of the stand, the laptops bottom case and an example pic of what the device i want is (Not the exact device i want, which is why im on here asking, but its just to give you more of a picture of what i mean). Doesnt matter if the device is plastic or metal. I dont want to use any kind adhesive or any kind of liquid so velcro (i have used velcro in the past, and it does work good but my laptops so heavy it pulls down the velcro over time), putty, super glue or cement is out of the question.Needs to be something like a plastic buckle. I looked at plastic buckles, but alot of those arent flat and i need something flat in top and bottom. Basically i want the male part on the bottom case and the female part on the stand, so that i can slip the laptop onto the stand and have it locked onto the stand and when i want to replace something in my laptop i can just undue the locking and slip the laptop off the stand.i hope im making sense lol.so, any ideas on what device i can use? Id say whatever the device is, it has to be at least an inch wide since anything bigger would not fit on the part of my stand where i plan to put it. So, i want to find something else to attach my laptop to the stand so i can remove it with relative ease and something that wont go loose.like some kind of buckle or some kind of flat hook that goes into a slot thats on the stand.idk what that would be called though lol. It was a.makeshift approach to say the least but Its not practical though because its hard to undue everything when i want to take apart my laptop or change the battery etc. ![]() I have a system where i just have bolts going from the bottom case into the holes of the filer and i have a nut tightening it under the filer hole. Believe it or not, my laptop stand is actually just a office wall filer lol.and a heavy duty one at that. Anyway, I want to modify my laptops stand to where its permanently attached to the laptops bottom case. I couldnt find a great place to set this, so if moderators see this and its in the wrong area, im sorry. ![]()
